Consultation event.
Social Impact Ireland, on behalf of the Department of Rural & Community Development will host the Social Enterprise Regional Stakeholder Consultation event for the Midwest/Southwest region.
The new Social Enterprise Policy for Ireland is due in 2023. In anticipation of this, we want to hear from you, the Social Enterprises on the ground and the Stakeholders in the space, on what challenges and opportunities you see in the sector.
Roundtable discussions.
This half day event will involve two sessions of roundtable discussions focusing on;
1 – The challenges facing social enterprises over the next five years and proposed solutions to address those challenges, and
2- The opportunities for social enterprises over the next five years and what steps need to be taken to realise these opportunities.
Social Enterprise Impact exhibition.
Alongside the roundtable discussions, an art exhibition will be displayed featuring pieces from artists in the social enterprise sector. Connections Arts Centre is an award winning not for profit social enterprise supporting the disability community in Ireland. “Our mission is to assist people with disabilities to overcome barriers encountered everyday that lead to them being devalued and excluded from their communities. We do this by providing accessible arts, lifestyle and training programmes that are inclusive of everybody.”
Other art to feature is from Lime Stone Studios in Cloughjordan.
All stakeholders.
We invite all stakeholders to join us and get involved in this important discussion, as we strive to increase awareness and grow supports for the Social Enterprise sector in Ireland.
