SESSION 1
WHAT STRATEGY ACTUALLY MEANS AND THE PART IT PLAYS WITHIN YOUR BUSINESS.
Understanding the difference between planning and strategy and how to utilise it in enhancing your ability to shape your business to your purpose.
OUTCOME: An understanding of strategy as a process for achieving the vision you see before you.
SESSION 2
WHY “CLARITY OF PURPOSE” AND “VALUES” ARE SO IMPORTANT:
In times when the surge of daily activity can swamp our efforts to realise our vision, the one constant that can help centre us is clarity on our purpose and the values we believe in. A starting point for a working plan comes from revisiting this and from there visualising the future you desire.
THE CRITICAL NEED TO UNDERSTAND HOW YOU ACHIEVE YOUR IMPACT
The difference in a social business is that achieving meaningful impact has to be balanced with thriving as a business. Developing an understanding of what the impact you seek is and how the business delivers to that is essential.
OUTCOME: A vision that is grounded on the purpose of your business, where the IMPACT being sought aligns with running the business that will achieve it. .
SESSION 3
STRIVING FOR YOUR VISION:
The third step is ANALYSING the gap between the current reality and the vision you wish for – the primary aim of strategic planning is perceiving how this gap can be bridged.
OUTCOME: Clarity on the challenge that the strategy needs to solve to offer the possibility of bridging this gap.
SESSION 4
CREATING A STRATEGIC APPROACH THAT ALIGNS TO YOUR VISION.
The next step is creating a real strategic plan – one that is both implementable but still flexible to deal with the uncertain nature of our times. We create not only a plan, but risk test it to optimise the chances of delivery.
